                                    TERMS, FEES AND CONDITIONS

Please note, we will only expertise Commonwealth of Australia issues from 1901 onwards. We do not expertise the world. With every new membership the first certificate is FREE, up to the stamp value of $5000.

 

SUBMITTING ITEMS

- If you have 4 or less items to submit please download the application forms 1 and 2. Form 2 is not compulsory but would speed your application.

- For 5 items or more please download, complete and sign form1 with the attached scans of submitted items on a separate page. Initial and date the scan page.

To further speed your applications we recommend that you become a member and avail yourself to further benefits.

For the purpose of fees structure our preference for valuation will be in the following order and at our discretion.

1) Brusden White (AUD) Acsc Specialized Catalogues.

2) Stanley Gibbons (GB) Catalogues

3) Scott (USA) Catalogue

Our fees for submitted items and more

1)      Our minimum fee up to catalogue value (CV) $5000 is AUD $25 per certificate (subject to being a member) plus postage (see below), completed and dispatched back to members in app 7-14 working days from  the receipt of items and subject to prior payment on our invoice. For this you will get a full evaluation of its authenticity on shade, gum, official perfins, condition whether it is mint never hinged, mint hinged or used with comments and more. For non-members it may take longer. Our fees are subject to change without notice.

2)    For the rarer items from and above CV $5000, it will be a minimum charge + 2% on the difference between the two amounts.

3)    For items that are mint never hinged and in some instances where there is no CV value there will be minimum charge with additional charge of 2% of estimated market value.

4)    Items, which are genuine but not listed in the catalogues (eg. varieties and more) will be subject to a market value quote or estimated on a similar variety that is listed.

5)    Items that are found to be forgeries eg. OS overprints etc. will attract a minimum charge.

6)    If an item is genuine but the overprint or official perfins are forged, a minimum fee of $20 for an opinion only will apply. If you require a certificate a standard fee will apply.

7)    For the purpose of insurance valuations (replacement market value) with certificates if required, this will be subject to a quote.

 

                                  POSTAGE

You must send all items by registered post. The applicant will be responsible for insurance both ways plus for the return registered domestic post of $8.95, International $18.95 this includes postage, packaging and materials. Items of $1000 value and above will be sent registered person to person only at an additional charge depending whether it is a domestic or international destination.
